| The history of MAV
goes back to the Thirties, when Martial and
Hyacinthe Audureau ran a forging mill at La
Copechagniere. It was the design and manufacture
of a horse driven vineyard sprayer which made
the two brothers known beyond county limits.
Past-war, in 1947, Audreau sold its first
Massey Ferguson tractors. With the development
of mechanization and thus of the business
MAB was created in 1956 with at its head Martial,
which will be devoted exclusively to the trade
of farm machinery, while the Audureau company
continues to build farm implements. In 1976,
MAB is renamed MAV.
At this moment Jean-Claude Audureau succeeds
his father, until 1989 when he suddenly died
one evening of open day. Exclusive dealer
of Massey Ferguson on the region of Vendee,
MAV develops
branches, four as of today, one of them with
partnership of Rural Expert and one with Modema.
Taken over in 1998 by Denis Leylavergne, MAV
counts 40 employees in 2005 with 13 million
Euros of sales turnover. At the end of 2004
beginning 2005 MAV
supports some difficult but salutary months
since they allowed reorganizing capital. |
| The after sales-service
has always been the keystone of the company's
philosophy, with 25 regularly trained mechanics,
with important opening-hours, with service
7 days a week in season and an oversize stock
of spare parts of a value of nearly one million
Euros. |
| MAV
has always managed to be surrounded by reliable
partners, such as VICON for round-balers and
mower conditioners, KUHN for silage cutters
and ground implements, JOSKIN for slurry tankers
and trailers, CARUELLE for sprayers, YUCHAI
for excavators, etc. |
| Concerning Massey Ferguson,
you may discover the full new range of 5400,
6400, 7400 and 8400 tractors with new transmissions,
Dyna 6 on the 6400, Dyna 4 on the 5400 and
Dyna VT continuously variable transmission
on the 7400 and 8400 series. This new range
of tractors permitted us to attain nearly
12% of market share in Vendée, score
which is almost equal to the nationwide performance
of MF in France. However it is remarkable
that the market share of tractors of more
than 150 hp is over 20%. If in the past time
the image of MF has been a manufacturer of
small tractors, this is not the case nowadays
with a range going up to 290 hp. We may also
draw your attention to the fact that MF manufactures
all his tractors at its factory in Beauvais,
France. |
| Massey Ferguson provides
a full range of combines and implements to
suit applications, such as leading products
as square balers (origin Hesston), combines
with 5 and 6 straw walkers (origin Laverda)
and 8 straw walker design (built in Denmark).
Finally MF is present on the telescopic handler
market in partnership with Bobcat. |
